EP – Remove Marker

As part of the preparation process, I removed the markers on the desk and bed. These markers were used to enhance tracking data. Initially, I realized that I didn’t need markers for static scenes. To reduce unnecessary work, and because I had to retake some scenes on the desk, I filmed again without markers. This saved time for the second scene, where my hand covers some markers when I touch and grab the phone. If I hadn’t retaken it, I might have had to roto my hand, which would have taken a long time.
After this, I removed the markers in moving scenes. I used two techniques: one involving the Keymix and Transform nodes, and the other using the Inpaint node. Since the Inpaint node is quite heavy, I mainly used the Keymix and Transform nodes. Thanks to Gonzalo, I was able to review these techniques again.
This is the result video with a comparison of before and after. Now, I’m going to replace the screens.
