Maya/Unreal – Rendering

As mentioned in my storyboard, I decided to composite a whale in Nuke. I searched and downloaded an animated model of a whale. Using the AiStandard shader, I successfully applied its textures and rendered it with an alpha channel.

After completing the scene setup, I rendered my project. Following the settings test I conducted earlier, the rendering process went smoothly. However, I needed a specific scene to composite the whale. I turned off the option for distortion in PPV and set a stencil layer. During the initial attempt, the stencil layer had only RGB channels without alpha. After adjusting some settings to obtain the alpha channel, I realized I hadn’t turned on the ‘Accumulator Includes Alpha’ setting. Subsequently, with the alpha channel in place, I had everything I needed for my final work.
