FMP – Storyboard & Animatic
After refining some details, I finalized the storyboard. This functions more as a reference for animatic than storyboard itself, so it might look a bit rough. To make it clearer, I’ve written a description of each scene below it.

- S01 – A close-up of the protagonist’s hand holding a phone, capturing an everyday moment such as the city, sky, coffee, or a flower. This represents a typical interaction with the phone, taking pictures of daily life.
- S02 – The protagonist is walking down a street, holding their phone while writing a social media post using the picture from S01. In the background, floating holographic social media screens appear around them. The camera first focuses on the hand and phone, showing the post, and then moves upward to reveal more of the surroundings, with holograms filling the space.
- S03 – As the protagonist continues walking, the camera shows more of their body, focusing on the shoulder or arm as they scroll through their social media feed. The camera rotates to capture a building with large windows, and the social media graphics from the phone screen are projected onto the windows, blending the digital and real worlds.
- S04 – The protagonist continues walking, with the camera showing their side profile and the phone in hand. They write comments, type text, and press reaction buttons, with these actions appearing as 3D graphics in the background.
- S05 – A shadowy hand-shaped effect appears over the phone, as if something is taking control of it. The phone screen suddenly shuts down with a digital glitch effect, and the protagonist is startled. They look up and see a 3D billboard.
- S06 – On the billboard, a character composed of geometric shapes, numbers, and digital glyphs begins to interact with them. The character writes the slogan “Look up, Life is here” on the screen. After delivering the message, the character shatters into fragments, and all digital graphics on the billboard disappear. (Just an option, now I’m considering to change billboard into buildings after the character disappears. It depends on the schedule after finishing other parts.) The color palette of the scene becomes more vivid and alive. The camera rotates left and right to reveal the street in its real, vibrant state, without digital interference.
Based on the storyboard, I worked on the animatic. To enhance the visuals and provide more detail, I used stock images and videos. The animatic is about 1 minute and 10 seconds long, which aligns with my expectations from the storyboard stage. Using this as a reference, I’ll be filming the footage soon with a GoPro.
