EP Group Project – Week 01&02

First week:
During the first week, we discussed the concept and drafted ideas. Our main focus was on sustainability. Originally, we planned to create a short film, but due to the time constraint of one minute, we decided to pivot towards creating an advertisement. While brainstorming ideas related to sustainability, we considered showcasing plants and flowers alongside public transportation. Eventually, our idea expanded to include bicycles and scooters in London, with Lime being a prominent bike and scooter rental service in the city.
The draft storyboard unfolds as follows: The protagonist leaves her home, proceeds to a bus stop, and waits for a bus. Growing impatient, she opens a map application, searches for her destination, and selects a scooter as her mode of transport. A leaf marker on the map helps her locate the scooter. She embarks on her scooter ride, and as she travels, flowers and plants bloom along her path. Passing through a tunnel, she eventually arrives at a destination adorned with flowers and plants. Along the journey, a slogan appears.
(Further discussion is required.)
Second week:

During the second week, we filmed a test film using a phone. While exploring the university campus, we discovered a visually appealing building adorned with plants. We filmed the initial scene in front of this building, with different scenario. Instead of starting with the protagonist leaving her home, we opted to begin the scene with her sitting on a bench and then transitioning to acquiring a scooter.
Additionally, we captured a scene at the Waterloo tunnel, this time using a bike. Although the footage stabilized well with the GoPro, there were some shaky moments when the bike passed over gaps. To address this issue, we decided to adjust the filming angle and rent a chest mount for the GoPro. We anticipate that this adjustment will yield better results.
For the third week:
- Discuss and finalize the storyboard
- Film using the chest mount and scooter in the tunnel
- Discuss each member’s role
