In the seventh week, our focus shifted towards creating our artefact video by capturing the essence both from outside and inside of the MR experience.

Before embarking on the recording, I received valuable feedback from Manos regarding our project:

  • The making-of video should include self-reflection about the project.
  • It’s essential to reduce the artefact video’s duration (achievable by speeding up renders and cutting some MR demo footage).
  • Exploring ways to blend plants with shadows on the background could enhance realism.
  • Don’t forget to insert a voiceover.

Implementing these suggestions, we successfully completed our project.

Testing in front of the flowers
Recording MR and filming that scene

For the filming session, we secured a multipurpose room, conducting a comprehensive scan for MR. Following the recording, we sought feedback from technicians at the Creative Technology Lab, receiving invaluable insights. Their feedback, coupled with some interview clips, enriched our making-of video. After concluding the indoor scenes, we moved to a park, lush with greenery, though flowers were sparse in early March. Nevertheless, we captured the beauty of the surroundings with a verdant backdrop and a few blossoms.

Our collaborative project is now on the verge of completion, and we look forward to showcasing the final result.
